Robert Gibson Luttrell married Caroline McCloud, daughter of William McCloud and Mary Conway, on October 9, 1853 at DeKalb County, AL. Robert Gibson Luttrell married Laura Jane Hazzell Baker on July 7, 1872 at Texas County, MO. Robert Gibson Luttrell married Malissa J. Guest on April 22, 1903 at Gillham, Sevier County, AR. Robert Gibson Luttrell died on April 8, 1917 at Gillham, Sevier County, AR, at age 82. [an intestinal obstruction]. He was buried at Gillham Cemetery, Gillham, Sevier County, AR.

John Luttrell Jr. was born on October 8, 1801 at Knox County, TN. He was the son of John Luttrell Sr. and Annis Jackson. John Luttrell Jr. married Clarissa Harlow White on April 14, 1825 at Knox County, TN. John Luttrell Jr. married Elizabeth Bynum, daughter of William Bynum and Celia ______, on June 19, 1860. John Luttrell Jr. married Aseneth Livingston on February 27, 1865. John Luttrell Jr. died on September 23, 1880 at Wills Valley, AL, at age 78.      John Luttrell was a Whig and later a Republican and belonged to the Methodist Church. He is shown on the 1830 Knox County, Tennessee census as owning slaves, which Clarissa probably inherited from her father. Clarissa later received "the Negro Violet and her three children" from her mother, Dolly White in an 1849 bequest. John Luttrell is shown to have owned slaves until 1859 but no later. Clarissa died in that year and the ownership may have passed to her children. John Luttrell enjoyed good health. At the age of 78 he was still able to actively engage in farm work but seriously injured himself when he fell from the top of his barn in March 1879. On August 13, 1879, he wrote as follows: "And now by the allotted time for human life, my time is running out. I have no reason to complain. But few have lived as long as I have. I have tried for a long time to live up to the golden rule; so that I can quit the world in peace with all mankind, and enter into and enjoy that which is prepared for the finally faithful."

Clarissa Harlow White was born on May 12, 1801 at NC. She married John Luttrell Jr., son of John Luttrell Sr. and Annis Jackson, on April 14, 1825 at Knox County, TN. Clarissa Harlow White died in 1859.      Notes from Dutch Dodd: Clarissa Harlow White's family was relatively wealthy as demonstrated by the large estate left by her mother Dolly White, whose will was written in 1848 and proven in 1849 in Knox County TN. Her father is not known at the present time. It is likely that he died in Knox County, TN after 1825 and before 1830. It is possible that he was a member of the James White family. James White was an early explorer of eastern TN, was the founder of the present city of Knoxville and became both wealthy and influential. Clarissa's name is given as 'Clarissa' on her Knox County, TN marriage bond to John Luttrell dated April 11, 1825 and in her mother's will. However, the Knoxville Register on April 11, 1825 noted "Married. On Thursday the 14th ... Mr. John Luttrell to Miss Cynthia H. White, daughter of Mr. White of this county."

Caroline McCloud died on February 28, 1872 at Houston, Texas County, MO.

Robert Hudson 'Hut' Luttrell married Lela Estelle Johnson, daughter of John C. Johnson and Susan Bradshaw. Robert Hudson 'Hut' Luttrell died in 1910 at Eagletown, McCurtain County, OK.

Claiborne B.'Clabe' Luttrell was born on January 17, 1869 at Salem, Dent County, MO. He was the son of Robert Gibson Luttrell and Caroline McCloud. Claiborne B.'Clabe' Luttrell married Rosa Kemp. Claiborne B.'Clabe' Luttrell died in 1934 at Eagletown, McCurtain County, OK.

Laura Jane Hazzell Baker was born circa 1848. She married Robert Gibson Luttrell, son of John Luttrell Jr. and Clarissa Harlow White, on July 7, 1872 at Texas County, MO. Laura Jane Hazzell Baker died on October 3, 1902 at Gillham, Sevier County, AR.

Malissa J. Guest was born on November 19, 1844 at Clarksville, Red River County, TX. She married William H. Gorman in September, 1865. Malissa J. Guest married Robert Gibson Luttrell, son of John Luttrell Jr. and Clarissa Harlow White, on April 22, 1903 at Gillham, Sevier County, AR.

William H. Gorman married Malissa J. Guest in September, 1865. William H. Gorman died in April, 1902 at Gillham, Sevier County, AR.

Martha Frances Edwards married William McDonald 'Donald' Luttrell, son of Robert Gibson Luttrell and Caroline McCloud, in 1875 at Dent County, MO.      Martha's brother, James A. Edwards, married Missouri Ellen Luttrell.

Lela Estelle Johnson was the daughter of John C. Johnson and Susan Bradshaw. Lela Estelle Johnson married Robert Hudson 'Hut' Luttrell, son of Robert Gibson Luttrell and Caroline McCloud.

Rosa Kemp married Claiborne B.'Clabe' Luttrell, son of Robert Gibson Luttrell and Caroline McCloud.

John Luttrell Sr. was born on April 22, 1764 at Amherst County, VA. He was the son of Richard Luttrell Sr. and Sarah Churchwell. John Luttrell Sr. married Annis Jackson, daughter of Peter Jackson, on August 12, 1789 at Amherst County, VA. John Luttrell Sr. died on August 29, 1846 at Knoxville, Knox County, TN, at age 82.      John and Annis Luttrell were members of the Methodist Church. John Luttrell is named as one of the trustees of the Macedonia Church which was built in 1809 and was the first Methodist Church to be built in the vicinity of Knoxville. Methodism itself was relatively new in the US, the first of John Wesley's assistants having been sent from England to America in 1766. John Luttrell died at his home east of Knoxville at the age of 82. In July 1854, Annis Luttrell applied for and received the one-third dower of John Luttrell's lands to which she was entitled as his widow.

Annis Jackson was born on March 12, 1763 at Amherst County, VA. She was the daughter of Peter Jackson. Annis Jackson married John Luttrell Sr., son of Richard Luttrell Sr. and Sarah Churchwell, on August 12, 1789 at Amherst County, VA. Annis Jackson died on November 11, 1858 at Knox County, TN, at age 95.      Annis Jackson is said to be the cousin of President Andrew Jackson. There is no proof yet of this family connection - per Juanita Berrian. John and Annis Luttrell were members of the Methodist Church.
