He was buried on January 16, 1941 at Forest Hill Cemetery, Idabel, McCurtain County, OK.      Thomas and Zenobia moved from Maxey, Lamar, TX to Idabel, McCurtain, OK in 1911 The McCurtain Gazette dated January 15, 1941 lists Tom Field on the front page of the twice weekly printed newspaper. It states that he moved to Idabel in 1911 and had lived in the Forest Grove area for 22 years before his death. His funeral was at 3:00 pm in the afternoon with W. R. Merry officiating at the funeral and Coffey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. He had two step-sons were George Holland and Howard Holland.

Delilah Jane Stafford was born on November 2, 1878 at Glenwood, Pike County, AR. She was the daughter of Robert Jehu Stafford and Louisa Crews. Delilah Jane Stafford married Elijah Sampson Kelley, son of Elias Wade Kelley and Susan Josephine Kelley, on July 20, 1902 at Glenwood, Pike County, AR.      Delilah Jane probably died of stomach cancer. Whisenhunt, son of Amos Wright Whisenhunt and Allie Francis Veteto.      Jessie's daughter-in-law, Delma Coffey Whisenhunt wrote about reading the newspaper article that Sharon Fields McKeever submitted to the McCurtain Gazette on June 19, 2001:      "Ernest read it last night also and decided some of his kin folks he doesn't know. I really thought alot of his grand-mother McKeever and let me tell you, she was the fisherman. She used to come stay a few days with Jessie, and fished on a little pond below their house for hours. Jessie worried about her falling in and would go sit with her and she didn't like the fishing part too much. Jessie was a wonderful mother in law. She and I communicated much better than my own mother and I. I really miss her and have to tell you the only real pet peeve I had with her, was that you could be in a doctor's office or anywhere that you might find recipes in a magazine and if she found one that she liked, she just ripped it out. I would tell her don't you know other people might enjoy reading, her reply, well too bad. I always told her, don't trip at my house. We still laugh about her driving, she was a fast driver. One time Ernest was coming into town in a gravel truck and noticed this big Pontiac blew him off the road and then he discovered it was his mother. He got after her about it and she told him that he just needed to get out of her way."

Lela Dora Dirickson married Frank Terrell Field, son of Thomas Mallory Field and Zenobia Perneece Terrell, on December 25, 1927.      Lela 's parents, William Roland and Permelia Richards Dirickson were in the Oklahoma Land Run. Lela was a retired school teacher. She went to college at Durant, OK. The college is now known as Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Lilllie Mae Neeley was born on March 6, 1901 at Palmer, Ennis County, TX. She married Ben Madison Fields, son of Thomas Mallory Field and Zenobia Perneece Terrell. Lilllie Mae Neeley was the daughter of Joe Neeley and Doshie Fincher. Lilllie Mae Neeley died on April 24, 1984 at Paris, Lamar County, TX, at age 83. [believed to have died from an asthma attack].      Jimmy had gone to a movie and come in about midnight and ate a bowl of ice cream. About 2:00 a.m. his parents heard something and they went into his room and found him with one leg in his pants and he was on the floor dead.
