Pike County, Arkansas and recorded in Abstract of Title Book Prior to 1890

Will Book A page 99. Last Will and Testament of John McMillan. Dated         
February 6th 1879. "Item Third. I give and devise to my son Robert C.        
McMillan all the land enclosed by the following lines, to wit: beginning at  
the point where Rock Creek crosses the section line between my land and      
S.P. Baker's and following Rock Creek where a certain ditch cut(s) through   
my field, known as the stone field, runs into Rock Creek, then following     
said di(t)ch in a northern direction to the section line, then the section   
line West to the place of beginning, with all the rights &c. Etc. Item       
Fourth. I give, bequeath, and devise to my son Anguish (Anguysh or Angus)    
McMillan, all that portion of my land on the West side of Rock Creek (except 
that part given to Robert McMillan) and that portion of my land on the West  
side of Rock Creek between said Creek and the Arkadelphia and Caddo Gap Road 
(except that portion given and deeded to the Valley Grove Baptist Church) to 
have and hold &c. Ect. Item Fifth. I give, bequeath and divest to my wife    
Rebecca McMillan, John T. McMillan my son, and Emma A. McMillan my daughter, 
all that portion of my land lying West of the Arkadelphia and Caddo Gap      
Road, with all the rights &c. &c. Item Seventh. I hereby constitute my wife  
Rebecca McMillan my Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. Witnesses, 
A. Williamson, John M. Mason, M.P. Holland (and) P.E. Marks. Recorded June   
2, 1879. May 23rd A.D. 1879. Before the Clerk of (the) Circuit Court came    
P.C. Marks & M.P Holland and first being duly sworn dispose and say, that    
they saw said (John) McMillan sign said instrument, that he declared it to   
be his last Will &c., that they signed the same at his request in his        
presence and in the presence of each other and that he was at that time of   
sound and disposing mind & memory. W.B. Thomasson, clerk.
