Last Will and Testament of Abijah Davis of Pike County, Arkansas. Dated June 5th 1873. "3rd. I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Lucinda Davis the following described real estate to have and to hold the same with all the appurtenances thereto belonging expressively for and during her widowhood, to wit: West fractional 1/2 of (the) Northwest 1/4 of Section 18 in Township 8 South of Range 25 West; South 1/2 of (the) East 1/2 of Section 13 in Township 8, South of Range 26 West; North half of (the) East part of (the) Northeast 1/4 in Township 8, Range 26 West; North 1/2 of (the) West 1/2 of (the) Northwest 1/4 of Section 17 in Township 8, South of Range 25 West; Southeast 1/4 (of the) Southwest 1/4 of Section 18 in Township 8, South of Range 25 West; fractional East 1/2 of (the) South East 1/4 of Section 18 in Township 8, South of Range 25 West; the (blank) of (the) Southwest 1/4 of Section 17, fractional East 1/2 of (the) Southwest 1/4 of Section 18 in Township 8, South of Range 25 West contaning in the aggregate Five hundred and seventy (and) 10/100 acres. In case of the intermarriage of my said wife (after) my death, I desire that my two sons Henry B. and William E. shall have as much of the above the described lands as they may be able to individually cultivate and sufficient timber to keep the same in repair and at the death of my said wife, the above described lands to be divided among my two sons Henry B. and William E. as follows, to wit: Henry B., the West fractional 1/2 of (the) Northwest 1/4 of Section 18; North 1/2 (of the) West 1/2 of (the) Northwest 1/4 (of) Section 17; Southeast 1/4 of (the) Southwest 1/4 of Section 18 in Township 8, South of Range 25 West; South 1/2 of (the) East 1/2 of Section 13, North 1/2 of (the) East part of (the) Northeast 1/4 of Section 24 in Township 8, South of Range 26 West containing Two hundred and ninety (and) 68/100 acres. William E., the East fractional 1/2 of (the) East quarter of Section 18 of (the) Southwest 1/4 of Section 17, fractional East 1/2 of (the) Southwest 1/4 of Section 18, Northwest 1/4 (of the) Southeast 1/4 of Section 18, all in Township Eight, South of Range 25 West containing Two hundred and Eighty (and) 33/100 acres." He disposes of personal property and then "I hereby appoint my beloved wife Lucinda Davis my sole Executrix of this, my last Will and Testament." Witnesses, Jas. H. Howard (and) H.P. Howard. December 24th 1873. Jas. H. Howard purports to have appeared before Hiram P. Howard, Clerk and Hiram P. Howard purports to have appeared before W.F. Brock, J.P. and they first being duly sworn say, that said last Will and Testament was signed by said Abijah Davis in our presence and in the presence of us and declared in our presence the same to be his last Will and Testament and that we signed the same at the request of the said (Abijah) Davis and in his presence and in the presence of each other and that they verily believe the said Abijah Davis to have been in sound mind and memory at the time of making said Will.
