Pike County
April Term AD 1853
This day the clerk of this court presented to this court the assessment
list which had been filed by Abner B. Williams, Sheriff pro-tempore of
Pike County.
Whereupon it is considered and ordered by the court that a State tax of
one-fourth of one per centum and a County tax of one-fifth per centum be
levied on all taxable property and that a Poll tax be levied on all persons
subject to such tax of twenty-five cents.

year 1853, amounting in the aggregate to the sum of Four hundred and
thirteen dollars and thirty-four cents of State tax and Four hundred
and ten dollars and eighty-six cents of County tax..
