The State of Arkansas
To the Collector of the County
Greetings,
You are hereby commanded to collect from each and every person named in the
tax book hereunto annexed for the State and County Tax for the year 1852. The
following rates in and upon a hundred dollars of the amount of the rates and
valuations whereupon each person according to such book stans assessed and so
Pro Rated, that is to say, the rate of one-fifth of one percentum per hundred
dollarsfor the State Tax and the rate of one-fifth of one percentum per
hundred dollars, together with the sum of fuifty cents for each and every
inhabitant over the age of twenty-one years and under sixty-five(?) years of
age for the county tax and if any person named in said book shall neglect or
refuse to pay said rates within ten days after you shall demand the same you
are commanded to levy and make the same rates or parts thereof remaining
unpaid with lawful costs in the manner and _____ preceedings presented by law
out of the goods and chattle land and tenements of the persons so neglecting
or refusing to pay such _____ and you are further commanded to pay the amount
_____ according to this warrant and the annexed tax book. You are required to
collect in the manner and within the time provided by law for the payment
thereof.

County upon which the State Tax amount to the sum of Two Hundred and
seventy two and 88/100 Dollars and the County Tax to the sum of Four
Hundred Twenty three dollars and 38/100 Dollars.
