SAINTED MOTHER DIES
NEAR NORTH ZULCH
Mrs. Sarah Kelley died at the home of her son near North Zulch Thursday,
August 8th, at 2 o'clock a.m., after a long illness. She was 79 years, 8
mo. and 2 days old and is survived by eight children: Elder H.E. Kelley,
Mrs. Coburn, W.P. Kelley, Mrs. Roxie Roberts, Mrs. Lula Walton, E.F. Kelley
all of North Zulch, S.J. Kelley of Goree, Texas, G.E. Kelley of Houston.
She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and
nephews to mourn her going.
Mrs. Kelley was born in Arkansas in 1856 and has been a resident of this
state many years. She was a devoted christian mother and had been an active
member of the Church of Christ over 50 years and was among the Pioneer
citizens who helped blaze the way for our present civilization.
Her body was laid to rest in the Rock Prairie Cemetery Thursday afternoon
at 4 o'clock. Elder J.L. Pummill conducting the service. Day Undertaking
Company was in charge of the arrangements.
The Meteor joins the many friends of the family in offering sympathy to
them in their bereavement.
