Carolina about 1804 and died in Pike County between 1870-1880. Events in
James Chapel's life:
1827 Gwinnett County, Georgia land lottery. Drew land
in Troup County.
1829 Sold Troup County land ot Hosea Camp.
1835 James Chapel and sister Jenny of Gwinnett County
gave power of attorney to Jess Jarman of Anson
County, N.C.
1840 On census in Gwinnett and Henry County, Georgia.
1850 On census record in Henry County, Georgia.

In 1880 a record in Cass County, Texas shows James L. Chapel and Jeremiah
Chapel of Cass County, sold land in Pike County, Arkanss that had belonged
to the estate of James Chapel. They were sons of Archibald Chapel and
grandsons of James. Although no record (found) shows Archibald died in the
Civil War, tradition supports ... he was a casulty of that war.
