(female) b. abt. 1852. I tend to think Jane either died at childbirth or between 1852 & before (the) 1860 census as she is not listed: Jacob Brinley age 60 b. Ky., Stephen age 22, Jacob age 15, Allice age 14, and E.G. age 8. Also owned 2 slaves. I have wondered why they came to Cherokee Co. The first time I have found them here is Jan. 26, 1847 where Jacob was called for jury duty, evidently didn't appear, & was fined. I also found 2 other district court entries for judgements against him (by) Elisha Ferguson & John Sapington, Nov. 1, 1848. This is all I have on Brinleys. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Betty Jacobs, Rusk, Texas correspondence with David Kelley, postmarked 06 Mar 2000. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 11.15.00 David Kelley 2000 FGR-0065.HTM ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
