                         In Vacation 9th June 1832

This day came Henry Brewer in his own proper person into the office
aforesaid, and applied to me, Allen M. Oakley, Clerk of the County Court,
for administration of the Estate of Olliver (sp) Brewer Jr. deceased to be
granted to him. And it appearing to my satisfaction that he is entitled to
Letters of Administration upon said Estate: Therefore I do hereby grant
unto the said Henry Brewer, administration of all and singular the goods
and estate of the said Olliver (sp) Brewer dec'd, upon his entering into
bond with good security in the penal sum of Three thousand dollars,
conditioned as the law directs, and making the affidavit and taking the
oaths required by law, which he has accordingly done.

Witness my hand as Clerk, this day and year before written.

of Oliver Brewer, Jr., deceased, or so much thereof as may be shown to them
by said administrator. Witness my hand this day and year before written.

To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Know ye, that Olliver
(sp) Brewer, Jr., as it is said lately died intestate, having whilst living
and at the time of his death, goods and estate within this territory,
whereby the ordering and granting administration of all and singular, the
goods and estate, and finally discharging the account therof doth unto us
(appertain).

Therefore, I, Allen M. Oakley, clerk of the county court, do hereby grant
unto Henry Brewer, ample and complete power to administer all and singular
the goods, chattels, rights, credits, moneys, effects, and estate which
were of the said deceased at the time of his death, and to settle his
account of the administration thereof according to law; the said Henry
Brewer having filed in my office a bond with two securities, (recorded) in
the county (office), and which was approved by me and he having taken the
oath as required by law.

In testimony whereof I have herewith set my hand as clerk and officer, the
seal of said court at Washington, this 9th day of June A.D. 1832, and of
the Independence of the United States the 59th.

This day came Henry Brewer who has applied for letters of administration on
the estate of Olliver Brewer, Jr., deceased, before me, Allen M. Oakley,
clerk of the county court aforesaid, and having been duly sworn, states on
oath, that there is three heirs of said deceased, to wit, Elizabeth L.
Brewer, widow of said deceased, and her two children, John Brewer and David
Brewer; that said deceased died without a will as far as he knows and
believes, and that he will well and truly administer, all and singular, the
goods and chattels, rights and credits of the deceased and pay his debts as
far as his assets will extend, and that he will make a true and perfect
inventory of all the goods and chattels, rights and credits of said
deceased.

Know all men by these presents, that we, Henry Brewer, John Brewer and
John Dickson, are held and firmly bound unto John Pope, Governor of the
Territory of Arkansas, and his successors in office, in the just and penal
sum of three thousand dollars, for the payment whereof, well and truly to
be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators firmly
by these presents. Witness our hands and seals at Washington this 9th day
of June A.D. 1832.

The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Henry
Brewer, administrator of all and singular, the goods, chattels, rights and
credits of Olliver (sp) Brewer, Jr., deceased, do make, or cause to be
made, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels,
rights and credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the
hands, possession, or knowledge of him, the said Henry Brewer, or into the
hands or possession of any person for him, and the same to make or return
and exhibit in the office of the clerk for the county court for the county
of Hempstead, on or before the 9th day of August next, and all and singular
the goods and chattels, rights and credits of the deceased which shall come
to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said Henry Brewer, shall well
and truly administer according to law and pay the debts of the deceased as
far as his assets shall extend and the law direct, and further make or
cause to be made just and true accounts of said administration, and make
due and proper settlements thereof, from time to time according to law, or
the order, sentence, or decree of any court having competent jurisdiction
and shall moreover well and truly do and perform all other matters and
things touching the said administration as are or shall be prescribed by
law, as enjoined on him by the order, sentence, or decree of any court
having competent jurisdiction, then this obligation to be void and of no
effect, otherwise to remain in full force and effect.
