Pike County, Arkansas and recorded in Abstract of Title Book Prior to 1890

Probate Book 1 page 154. January Term 1858. Now came Wm. Gilmer              
administrator of Rice Stringer deceased and prays for an order of this Court 
to sell the personal property of said estate &c. The prayer of the           
petitioner is granted. Probate Book 1 page 258. January Term 1859.           
Administrator filed his petition verified by his affidavit stating and       
representing that the claims against said estate to the amount of $2092.06   
have been filed and that the assets now in his hand amounts to but $454.24;  
he therefore prays the Court for an order to sell the real estate belonging  
to the estate of said deceased, to wit: the East 1/2 (of the) Southwest      
(quarter) and the Southeast (quarter); and the West fractional 1/2 (of the)  
Southwest (quarter), Section 7, Township 8, Range 25, containing by estimate 
370 1/2 acres. The prayer of the petitioner is granted and said              
Administrator is authorized, licensed, and empowered to sell said described  
real estate at public outcry at the Court House door in Pike County,         
Arkansas on the 28th day of February 1859 after giving at least 20 days      
public notice &c. To sell to the highest bidder on a credit of twelve months 
time, taking bond and first class personal security for the payment of the   
purchase money at 10% interest from maturity, and that he make and execute a 
deed to the purchaser thereof and that he report his proceedings therein to  
the next term of this Court. Probate Book 1 page 406. October Term 1859.     
Administrator reports sale of real estate to William H. Preston for $1800 he 
being the highest and best bidder therefor. Administrator offered sufficient 
excuse for not filing his report at prior terms of this Court. Probate Book  
C page 55. April Term 1872. Administrator files his settlement and asks to   
be discharged &c., on filing proof of the publication of the notice of the   
filing his settlement. The Court confirms the settlement in all things,      
proof of publication having been filed.
