Joel Wingfield, aged 88, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Jim
Kirkham, here Thursday afternoon (August 6, 1942), after an illness of
several weeks duration. Previous to his coming here several weeks ago he
made his home near Okolona with a son.
He is survived by three sons, Clyde, Bob and Claude, and two daughters, Mrs.
H.T. Mansfield and Mrs. Jim Kirkham, both of near Delight.
Funeral services in charge of D.H. Perkins were held at 3 p.m. today
(Friday) at the church of Christ here. Burial was in the Delight cemetery.
