Brewer. - Mrs. Martha L. Brewer, nee Fenter was born in Hot Spring Co.,
Ark., April 20, 1840 and died at her home near Murfreesboro, Pike Co., Ark.,
Jan. 8, 1885. She was converted and received into the Methodist Church in
early life. She was a useful, happy, consecrated Christian lady. Her
religion was a shining light, which increased in luster as she advanced in
years. Conscious of personal acceptance with the loving Savior and sweet
comfort and communion of the Spirit, she wore a serene, radiant countenance
amid the deep troubles and trials which attended her eventful life. Her
death was a triumph. When she was dying she called her children to her bed
and imparted to them her last, tender, motherly advice and calmly fell
asleep in Jesus.

                            R.T. Nabors, Pastor.
