[German Palatinate - In his book Emigrants From the Palatinate to the American Colonies in the 18th Century, [1953]., Dr. Friedrich Krebs describes the area known as the German Palatinate: "Zweibrucken; on the Schwarzbach, 54 miles southwest of Mannheim. It is known also by the French name, Deux-Ponts. It was for many centuries the capital of the Duchy of Zweibrucken, under the rule of cadet branches of the House of Wittelsbach."] He married Ann Walkin at Newberry District, SC. [It is apparently a German custom for the bride to retain her maiden name and add a suffix of "in" to it indicating she is married. Thus it is possible that the brides names was Ann Walk.].
