Sallie was 22 and Hezekiah was 24. One source has the year as 1875.]. Sallie J. Durham died on September 26, 1932 at Silk Hope, Chatham County, NC, at age 80. She was buried at Browns Chapel, Chatham County, NC.

His mother was born in Illinois. His occupation was farmer. he rented his farm. he could read and write and he spoke English. He had been married once for five years. William Turner Stokes died before April 18, 1910.

Samuel (age 26) and Lucinda (age 20) are shown living in dwelling 221, Antoine Township in the 1880 Pike County AR Census. They are shown living with his parents. Samuel and Lucinda have two chldren: Charley (age 2) and Susan (age 4/12). The parents of Lucinda Alford are shown living in dwelling 228 in Antoine Township. He married Lucinda Jane Yeargan in 1875. Samuel J. Ward died on March 31, 1936 at Pike County, AR, at age 80. [from a family Bible that was in the possession of Dale Holder.]. He was buried at Bear Creek Cemetery, Pike County, AR.

She had ten children eight of whom were still living at the time of the census.      She was enumerated with James Wade Alford on the Sevier County, AR census dated April 28, 1910; Janeshia was shown at age 46 as a married white female, wife of James W., born in Arkansas. Her father was born in Georgia. Her mother was born in Arkansas. She could read and write and she spoke English. She had been married once for 29 years. She had twelve children nine of whom were still living at the time of the census.      She was listed as a head of household on the Sevier County, AR census dated January 12, 1920. She was found in Saline Township, Page 168B, Sheet 7B, ED 175, Dwelling 112, Family 116; Alabama was shown at age 56 as a widowed white female born in Arkansas. Her father was born in Georgia. Her mother was born in Arkansas. Her occupation was farmer on a general farm. She worked on her own account. She could write but not read and she spoke English.
