Hancock to Miss Angeline Stringer, all of Pike county."; Washington Telegraph, October 22, 1841, Volume 11, No. 42, page 3, column 4.      He was a farmer.

Mary Ellen Barentine was born on January 12, 1872 at Kirby, Pike County, AR. She was the daughter of Lovett Abijah Barentine and Celia Ann Orrick. Mary Ellen Barentine married John Lovett Campbell, son of John C. Campbell and Martha Adaline Ross, on November 22, 1887 at Kirby, Pike County, AR. Mary Ellen Barentine died on March 14, 1959 at Kilgore, Goliad County, TX, at age 87.

John Lovett Campbell was born on August 1, 1868 at Monroe, Ouachita Parish, LA. He was the son of John C. Campbell and Martha Adaline Ross. John Lovett Campbell married Mary Ellen Barentine, daughter of Lovett Abijah Barentine and Celia Ann Orrick, on November 22, 1887 at Kirby, Pike County, AR.      He was a farmer and a circuit riding minister. John Lovett Campbell died on March 19, 1949 at Rusk, Bowie County, TX, at age 80.

Nancy Rebecca Barentine was born on November 2, 1874 at Kirby, Pike County, AR. She was the daughter of Lovett Abijah Barentine and Celia Ann Orrick. Nancy Rebecca Barentine married Reverend Charles David Fox, son of Reverend Jesse C. Fox and Susan Ann Woodall, on January 1, 1897 at Pike County, AR. Nancy Rebecca Barentine died on April 24, 1933 at age 58. She was buried at Bear Creek Cemetery, Pike County, AR.

James Isaac Henderson I was born circa 1670.      He appears in the record books of Onslow County, NC in 1732. There is no record of him after 1737. He died circa 1737.

Abner Henderson was born in 1759 at Orange County, NC. One source has him born in Chatham County, NC. He was the son of Argaleus Hercules Henderson I and Molly Mary Clark.      Argaleus' will, dated Sep 6. 1804 and probated in 1806 states "I give to my son, Abner Henderson, the manner (manor) plantation where I now live on, the bounds of the land beginning at the mouth of the school house spring branch, running up the said branch to the back line thence west to John Fike's spring branch, then down the said branch to Brooks Creek, then down the said creek to the first station", He also left Abner a slave girl, Luce and a child, Humphries. Abner Henderson appeared as head of household in the census enumerated 1810 at Chatham County, NC.      We can place Abner in Chatham County, North Carolina in 1810 and we can place Abner Newton in Morgan County, Alabama on December 21, 1831. But there is no information on where either of them were between those two points in time. Research continues.

Hezekiah Henderson was born in 1757 at Orange County, NC. [One source indicates birth year as 1755.]. He was the son of Argaleus Hercules Henderson I and Molly Mary Clark. Hezekiah Henderson appeared as head of household in the census enumerated 1800 at Chatham County, NC. Hezekiah was shown as a male born between 1774 and 1784 living with 2 females born between 1790 and 1800 and one female born between 1774 and 1784 (likely his wife).      It appears he left NC after 1800 and moved to KY. There is a deed showing he sold land (in NC?) in 1805.      There is a Hezekiah Henderson listed on the Christian County KY tax book for 1807.

John W. Pyburn was born circa 1834 at TN. He married Elizabeth S. "Bettie" Jourdon, daughter of James Jourdon and Delila ______, circa 1857 at Pike County, AR.      He was listed as a head of household on the Pike County, AR census dated September 18, 1860. He was found in Antoine Township, Redland Post Office, page 77, dwelling 508, family 508; J.W. was shown at age 26 as a white male born in Tennessee. His occupation was farmer. he had personal property values at $105. John W. Pyburn died before June 23, 1870.
